Quote in title is what my boss told me once while I was working for an investment bank and considering leaving to become a truck driver.

I don't think there is a bigger financial red pill than this. The world economy is mostly fake : there is a faucet from which money flows, and the closer you are from it, the more likely you are to succeed financially.
